Equity Index Annuities (EIA)
EIAs offer the best of both worlds: the guaranteed minimum return of a fixed annuity and the investment growth upside of a variable annuity. Equity-indexed annuities track the performance of a financial index, such as the S&P 500, Dow Jones or NASDAQ, allowing you to participate in a market-driven investment, but with much less risk than actually investing in the market itself.
